A.C.T Educational and Charitable Trust was established by eminent persons of visions to serve different spheres of the society by providing goal-oriented education . The prime objective of the trust is to equip modern youth with skills that empower them to meet contemporary global challenges. The Trust Deed was executed on 18.12.2004 and registered vide document No.2028 of 2004 dated 24.12.2004.

Details of Promoters and their background

Thiru T.Kumar , aged 43 years, hails from a respectable family. He is a B.Sc graduate and also passed post graduation in Business Administration. He is a philanthropist and a social worker having lot of concern for the poor. Besides he is a leading Civil Contractor with more than 15 years of experience. He is the Managing Trustee of this Trust.

Thiru E.N.Anbuchozhan, aged 63 years, is a practicing lawyer ( for the past 5 years ). He retired from the post of Additional Secretary to the Government of Tamilnadu in the Law Department. He possesses wide experience in general administration, deep knowledge in law besides interest to render service for the poor and needy.

Thiru R.Lakshmanan, aged 75 years is a retired Tahsildhar form the Revenue department of government of Tamilnadu. He is a social worker, who has associated himself with community development activities with specific reference to promotion of education.

Activities of Promoting Body

Moving towards the noble cause of promoting education to the poor , within a short span, the Trust established a Teacher Training institute during the year 2005, offering Diploma in Teacher Training, a two year programme. The first batch of 50 students have already completed the course during the academic year 2005-07.

As the demand for the course is very good, sanction has been obtained for an additional intake of 50 students from the year 2006-07. Currently the teacher training institute is operating with the full student strength of 200 ( both I and II year @ 100 students per batch).

The college administration is governed and guided by Board of Governors consisting of eminent personolities from different walks of life and educational domain as indicated below.
